The Misa Theatre, annexed to the “Palazzo dei Priori” building, is a remarkable construction from the second hall of the XVIIc. It has circular stalls and is decorated with frescos.
...The theatre is a small architectural jewel, built between 1840 and 1845 inside the Palazzo dei Priori (XIV century), designed by the architect Giuseppe Ferroni, student of the famous Pietro Ghinelli. According to the model of the “Italian theatre”, it has a beautiful horseshoe-shaped room around which there are three orders of stages arranged.
The structure is marked by the deep stage and the remarkable ceiling, frescoed by Luigi Mancini, author of the curtain of the Teatro “Pergolesi” of Jesi, with the allegories of the four seasons and elegant grotesque motifs. Daniele Ferretti made the stage machinery, while Cesare Recanatini painted the stages and the wings.
